Roy Milton, 82, of Marlborough passed away peacefully at the Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by his loving family after a short period of declining health.
He was born in Waltham, the son of Frank and Mildred (Aberle) Milton.
Roy spent 40 years as a chemical engineer working for Polaroid, Bayer and retiring from St. Gobain. After his retirement he worked as a valet at Marlboro Nissan, making friends and enjoying time spent with his co-workers.
Roy met the love of his life, Charlene, at Waltham High School. They were married for 62 years and raised three daughters. Together they enjoyed many trips to Newport, Cape Cod and Florida. He enjoyed mystery rides around New England, walking his golden retrievers, gardening and attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting and dance events. Roy was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the local teams, watching college football and March Madness basketball.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Charlene (DeRose), their daughters Janice Milton of Marlborough, Donna Mazursky (David) of Sterling, and Julie Cronin (Neil) of Marlborough. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Evan Mazursky (Victoria), Alec Mazursky (Rachel), Jason Mazursky (Carly), Elizabeth, Ryan, Sarah, Katherine and Allison Cronin, and one great grandson, Corey Milton Mazursky. He was predeceased by his sisters Betty Turner and Barbara Bazley and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Roy was a kind and generous man and we were blessed to have him as our father and friend.
Services are private with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
