Ronald "Ron" Kehney

Ronald "Ron" Jay Kehney, 79, of Harvard, MA., passed away on September 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Ron was born in Casper, WY on June 28, 1946, the son of the late Hans Richard and Anneliese (Lenhoff) Kehney.

After receiving his DDS degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, in 1971, he opened his first dental practice in Hamilton, Bermuda.  He continued practicing in South Lancaster and Lancaster, MA, retiring in 2012.  Dentistry was more than a profession to Ron.  For him, dentistry was a way to improve the lives of his patients, and he lived this mission by always treating all his patients with respect and kindness, investing in the development of his dedicated and professional staff, and continually improving his practice with the latest in technology, materials and techniques.

Ron was an avid reader with an insatiable curiosity, drive to learn, and commitment to self-improvement.  He had a keen interest in science, spirituality, and the wonders of the universe.  He had an irrepressible sense of humor and loved to laugh.  He also loved spending time outdoors, working on his yard and on countless home improvement projects.  But above all, his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Beverly (Mitrakas) Sanchez Kehney; his daughters, Sonia (Kehney) Byrnes of Newmarket, NH and Heather Kehney of Newburyport, MA, and his son, Omar Sanchez and his wife, Patty of Milton MA; his 4 grandchildren, Maya, Caitlin, William and Annabelle; his brother, Harold Kehney and his wife, Shirlee of Walla Walla, WA; his sister, Crystal Erickson and her husband, Peter of Marlborough, MA; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  His sister, Grace (Kehney) Davis, predeceased him.

 Services will be private, with a Celebration of Life in the near future.
