Randy T. Carpenter

 Randy T. Carpenter of Stow formerly of Hudson and Marlborough, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2022, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was sixty-three years old.

Randy was the son of Ralph Carpenter and Marion (Ramsay) Carpenter who predeceased him.

He was born in Springfield and grew up North Attleborough. Randy was an entrepreneur with the soul of a social worker. For forty years he was the owner and operator of Real Estate Marketplace and of a number of hair salons in the Marlborough area.  He  delighted in the work of finding families and individuals a place to call home and in making people beautiful for special occasions and ordinary days.
Family was the center of Randy’s life, he leaves behind his partner of twenty two years Robert (Bob) Visco, his son Evan Cain of Charleston SC, his daughter Jillian Allen Scannell, brothers Ralph (Pete) Carpenter and wife Jan of Aiken SC,  Ronald Carpenter and his wife Vicky of Milton Florida, Raymond (Chuck) Carpenter of Leominster and Roger Carpenter of Hudson,  He also leaves his large extended family member including the Visco family, the Carpenter nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as his chosen family. Too many to mention, you all know how loved you are. Randy also leaves his four-legged family members, his dog Jangles and horses Katara and Jessie.
Randy was well known for being a consummate host and for his many acts of kindness to loved ones and strangers alike.  Along with Bob, the chef, he hosted wonderful gatherings of his cherished family and friends – including some he’d just met that day- for special celebrations and for weeknight meals that were extraordinary for both the food and the company.  He had a remarkable gift for bringing people together sparking cherished partnerships and friendships too numerous to count.
A celebration of Randy’s extraordinary life will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Kennedy’s Pub, Maple Street, Marlborough, MA.

For those unable to attend, there will be an open house at his home, 2 Jillians Ln., Stow, MA from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022.

Randy has always appreciated your kindness and well wishes. In return, instead of sending flowers and

gifts, he would prefer that you celebrate life in his manner and take yourself out for an enjoyable lunch

or dinner.
