Rameshwar "Ramesh" Dayal Chillar

Ramesh D. Chillar, 77, of Milford, MA died unexpectedly after a fall at his home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.

Ramesh was born in New Delhi, India, the son of the late Sarupi Devi (Joon) and Munshi Ram Chillar

He graduated from IIT Madras with a degree in Civil Engineering. He later studied at Northeastern University for his MBA.

Ramesh worked at Data General Corporation in Westborough for several years and later proudly owned and operated his own 7-Eleven franchise in Fall River. More recently he was employed at BJ’s in Northborough. He enjoyed following the stock market and always had a tip on the next big investment idea! He was also a big fan of Boston sports teams, especially attending Patriots home games with his son and grandkids.

Ramesh is survived by his wife of 48 years Lorraine “Lorry” (Elers) Chillar of Milford, MA, his son, Andy Chillar and his wife Angela of Marlborough, daughter Maya Chillar and her long-time partner Tim Nguyen of TX, 5 grandchildren, Stephen, Drew, and Alex Chillar, and Vera and Declan Nguyen. His surviving siblings are brothers Ram K, Om Prakash, Jagdish, and Ram T Chillar, and sister Lakshmi Dabas.

A private service will be held this week.
