Rachel K. (Keyes) LaBrache

Rachel Keyes LaBrache 98 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Tufts Medical Center in Boston surrounded by her loving family.

Rachel was born in Ludlow, VT, the daughter of the late Rudolph H. and Carolina (Martelli) Keyes.

She moved to Marlborough at the age of 10 with her family. She graduated from Marlborough High School, Class of ’44 and attended Emerson College where she studied Drama and English Literature.

Rachel enjoyed playing with different Theater groups all over New England. She also created and sold a series of original dolls in Northborough but was best known as an Assistant Manager at Carroll Cosmetics in Marlborough for over 26 years.

Rachel is survived by her son Charles LaBrache III of Sudbury, her daughter Nancy Nelson of Marlborough, 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Patrick, Larry, Jodi, Louie, Cole and Tadd, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends including her best friend, Andrea Fitzpatrick.

She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Lorrie Papile in 2023 and Marsha Page in 2021.

Rachel loved her family and her Country. She could be found working in her gardens, she loved nature, animals and was passionate about animal rights.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11 am in the First Church Congregational, 37 High St., Marlborough, MA.

An hour of visitation will be held from 10-11 am also in the Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.
