Paul H. Wilder, 78, died Friday April 16, 2021 after a short period of failing health. He was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Edward and Jeannette (Boivin) Fahey and lived in the area all his life.
Paul worked much of his life in construction, mostly for Bonazzoli Construction and Fahey Construction. After retiring, he worked for himself doing landscaping and any other job that a friend might need a hand with. Paul loved to work with his hands, repairing small engines and restoring antiques were his favorite hobbies.
He is survived by one daughter Melissa Martin and her husband Scott of Berlin, one son Paul T. Wilder and his wife Michele Vitolo of MD, three grandchildren; Michael Martin and his wife Kayla, Scott Martin and his wife Sara Holm and Evelyn Wilder, one great grandchild Skylar, four brothers; George Wilder of LA, Kenneth Wilder of Fla., David Wilder of Marlborough and Alfred Butler of Uxbridge and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Richard Wilder. He leaves his lifelong friends Red, Paul P., the diner crew, and his pals at the 7-Eleven.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Short&Rowe Funeral Home (www.shortandrowefuneralhome.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough. Burial will be at a later date.
