Paul St. Cyr Obituary

     Paul Antonio St. Cyr Sr, 82, of Franklin died Friday November 26, 2021 after a period of failing health.  He was born in Enosburg Falls Vermont, the son of the late Antonio and Alida St. Cyr and lived in Franklin for 3 years.  He was also the stepson of the late Sylvia St. Cyr.

     Before leaving home and working on the farm, Paul did small side jobs. He then followed his brothers lead and  made his way to work for the Union Local 4 on heavy equipment machinery for 50 years and how he made his living. Paul was a hard worker and loved the  overtime and would always  be the first one to the job site. He Loved operating the machines so much he would take his kids after hours to show them and teach them how to operate them.

     Paul Enjoyed his big  family so much especially visiting his father and mother and all of his brothers and sisters families during labor day or any holiday he could make it to see them. He would spend hours talking to his dad. Paul loved a lot of things.  Big into Horseshoes, Racing his Mustang and bronco with his son Paul, his brother Ray and his nephews. Working in the garage with his brother and changing his oil for 5 hours. He loved Nascar, Puzzles, Swimming with his daughter Kara and getting pedicures, Corn hole, Yoga, he loved his tomato garden, and  Pots and Pans exhaust going through smugglers notch. 

     Paul Could Make you smile on a bad day. He enjoyed his thumbs up and had an infectious smile. He had a heart of gold and never complained ever. He would do anything for anyone without a question. That’s who he was. He loved his family so much he would do anything that you enjoyed.

     He enjoyed his time with the grandkids watching them grow and play hockey, gymnastics, and  dance.

     He Enjoyed Crossfit or CFTC with his son Scott. They worked out together and ran their gym together. Paul was  changing lives and inspiring others with his amazing drive and work ethic and smile. He  started in  2012  and never looked back.  He dialed in his nutrition after discovering coronary heart disease 7 years ago. He enjoyed cooking on the grille and making dinner for Scott. He Became quite the chef. He also loved going out to eat breakfast or dinner. He loved going to whole foods and everyone knew him at the stores and talked about how amazing and in great shape he is in. 

     Recently he was  enjoying  kayaking with his son Scott. He would also love his walks in his neighborhood or through trails. He  enjoyed his reading as he was getting tutored once a week and going to the library. He always wanted to learn more. Paul was  competitive if you had a better score then him on his fit bit and would walk around the house till 2:30am to win. They Don’t make too many like him.

     He had a few nicknames Pops, Pskin, Miracle Man, Superman.

     He Will be greatly missed by so many Rip Pops.

     He is survived by two sons; Paul St. Cyr Jr. and his wife Karen of Minnesota, Scott St. Cyr of Franklin, , one daughter Kara Gallant and her husband Shawn of Lunenberg, seven siblings; Raymond St. Cyr of Waltham, Gisele Gervais of VT, Oscar St. Cyr of VT, Jean St. Cyr of Fla., Anna Maynard of MA, Joseph St. Cyr of VT, Helen Parent of VT, five grandchildren; Tristan, Samantha, Dean, Sarah and Dylan, his friend of over 30 years Claire Hurd and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by three siblings; Pauline Weber, Irene Champain and Leo St. Cyr. 

     His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough.  Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main St. Marlborough.  After the cemetery their will be a celebration of Paul’s life at His CrossFit Gym 4-8 260 Maple street Bellingham.
