Paul Beausoleil Obituary

Paul E. Beausoleil, 90, of Marlborough passed away on December 30, 2023, in Worcester, MA.
Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Rodolph J. and Sabina “Pauline” M. (Doherty) Beausoleil.
Paul is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elsie L. (Bicchieri) Beausoleil of Marlborough; 2 daughters, Paulette Grant of Seattle and Lisa Beausoleil of Marlborough; 3 grandchildren, Casey Grant, Corey Grant, and Shelby Grant of Seattle; 2 great-grandchildren, Connor and Cooper; his sister, Dale Simoneau of Virginia; brother, Robert Beausoleil and long-time partner Barbara Henigan of Marlborough; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Donald Beausoleil; sister, Beverly Montanari (Fred Montanari) and brother-in-law, Richard Simoneau.
Paul graduated from Marlborough High School, class of 1953. He completed advanced technical education in manufacturing technology, machining, in MA and electrical via National Technical Schools in CA.
He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1954-1957 as Sergeant, with an honorable discharge from the Reserves in 1961. His greatest USMC memories were of time served at USMC Camp Fuji in Japan.
He was dedicated to his love of electronics & all things engineering in his long term career at GenRad / Quadtech until retirement.
Paul was a Charter Member & Officer in his beloved Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 3565 and so appreciated his decades spent with his Eagle friends and family.
Paul also loved reading and researching all things of interest to him, including his passions of gardening, yard & home, carpentry & his beloved bird watching. As a saxophone player, his lifelong love of music included everything from the Big Band era to Eddy Arnold; Elvis Presley, to Buddy Rich.
He had a lifelong love of sports, especially MLB & the Boston Red Sox; and all levels of football from his local Shamrocks to NCAA & his collegiate favorites Washington State & Temple Universities, and of course the NFL and his beloved NE Patriots.
He treasured vacation times at his family’s summer home in Onset, MA.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, January 15 at 11 am in St. Anne’s Church, 20 Boston Post Rd., Southborough, MA. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough, MA
