Nora "Ann" A. (O'Brien) Wolfe

Nora “Ann” A. (O’Brien) Wolfe 86 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her home in the Branches of Marlborough surrounded by her loving family.

She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Harold “Harry” F Wolfe in July, 2022.

Ann was born in Newton, MA, the daughter of the late Mark F. and Nora M. (Rabbitt) O’Brien. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School, Class of ’57.

Ann was employed at Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard as an executive receptionist where she retired in 1992. Digital Equipment was one of the world’s leading computer manufacturers and she was especially proud of her contributions to the Digital Team and greeting Customers.

Ann and her husband Harry’s favorite adventures were bowling, attending Irish music festivals as well as traveling to Maine, Amish country, and the scenic countryside. She was extremely passionate about her Irish heritage and frequently talked about how great it was to be “Irish”.

Ann also especially enjoyed the annual Boston Flower and Garden Show with her daughter Liz and taking her grandchildren to movies, museums, and playing various games.

She is survived by her 3 children, Ed Wolfe and his wife Lisa, of Billerica, Steve Wolfe and his wife Tammi of Douglas, Elizabeth “Liz” Jewell of Marlborough, 11 grandchildren, Matthew, Jon, Michael, Ricky, Erik, Ryan, Justin, Jen, Nick, Kara, and Derek, 7 great grandchildren, a sister-in- law, Marie O’Brien of Newton and many, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ann was predeceased by her son, Richard Wolfe 2021, 2 brothers, John and Mark “Franny” O’Brien as well as 2 sisters, Mary Bibbo and Eileen Barry.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 11 am in St. Matthias Church, Hemenway St., Marlborough followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough.
