Nora Hartman Obituary

 

Nora (Flemming) Hartman, 91, died peacefully at her home on  Wednesday, January 17, 2018 after a long period of failing health.  She was the wife of the late William "Frank" Hartman who died in 2016.  They were married for 59 years.  She was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (O'Toole) Flemming and moved to Marlborough in 1963.

Mrs. Hartman was a graduate of Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing class of 1953 and worked for many years as an X-ray technician before retiring to become a stay at home mother. 

She was a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marlborough.

She is survived by a daughter Lisa Hederstedt of Fitchburg and two grandchildren; Anders and Kierstin, her brother-in-law, Ralph Hartman and many nieces and nephews. 

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com) 95 West Main St. Marlborough.
