Marian Richards

Marian L. Richards 96 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Alliance Health at Marie Esther in Marlborough, MA.

Marian was born in Medford, MA, the daughter of the late Mark L. and Anna (Lyons) Richards.

She Studied in France at the Mother House for the Little Sisters of the Assumption and took the name of Sr. M. Elizabeth of Jesus.

Marian was a nun for over 23 years and served as mother superior and then retired in 1970 to care for her beloved mother.

Marian graduated from Newton Junior College and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years.

Marian is survived by her nephews and nieces, Kathy and Steven Richardson, Sandy and John Garee, Nancy and Stan Littlefield, Marie Richards, Barry Richards, Danny and Denise Richards, Cheryl Richards, Paul and Tammy Richards, Stephen and Jeanne Richards as well as many grand nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Barbara Richards.

She was predeceased by her 3 brothers, Joseph, Warren & Barry.           

Marian lived a Holy, Caring life, she continued to wear her Profession ring which she received from the Little Sisters until the day she died. She loved to sing, may she enjoy the heavenly choir of angels.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, May 17 2025 at 9:15 am in Sisters of St. Anne Chapel, 720 Boston Post Rd., Marlborough, MA

Burial will follow in the family lot in North Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge, MA
