Marguerite "Peg" L. (Marinelli) McGorty

Marguerite “Peg” L. (Marinelli) McGorty, 96 of Marlborough died peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Coleman House surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Marlborough the daughter of the late Francisco and Susan (Minegal) Marinelli.

Peg was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, John R. McGorty in 1993.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan DeCiero and her husband Richard of FL; 3 sons, William McGorty and his wife Christie of FL, Steven McGorty and his wife Nancy of Grafton and John McGorty and his wife Teri of Shrewsbury; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister Susan McGovern of Dunstable and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.

Peg was actively involved with the Marlborough Senior Center.

A funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St, Marlborough. Following cremation, a private burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, from 6-8 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

The family would like to thank the Coleman House, especially the Assisted Living Staff for their care and compassion over the past 3 plus years.
