He held a special place in his heart for his nieces, especially Karen Busa of Marlborough and Melissa West and her husband Kenny of Worcester. Beyond family, Karl was surrounded by a wide circle of friends and neighbors who became like family and will miss him deeply.

He was predeceased by his brother Gordon L. Skinner in 2023

His faith was central to who he was he loved Jesus deeply and lived in a way that reflected that love and devotion.
