Joyce Ann (Landry) Fricault

Joyce Ann (Landry) Fricault 75 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Joyce was born in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Fawcett) Landry. She graduated from Marlborough High School and earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Framingham State College. She worked as a Teacher for over 39 years in Marlborough. She was loved by her students even past students fondly remember her. She also won teacher of the year in 2003. That’s something she was very honored to have received.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Paul Fricault in December, 2018 and her sister Donna Landry in 2019.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Patrice “PJ” Fricault of Marlborough, 2 sons, Paul Fricault of Marlborough, Arthur Fricault and his wife Jillian of Berlin, a granddaughter, Alexis, 3 sisters, Cindy Landry of Marlborough, Terri Costanzo and her husband Danny of Pembrook, Christine Landry Briggs and her husband Bill of Maynard as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Joyce loved her family. She also loved hearing the stories, she ended up dreading what we would tell her about our childhood that she never knew about. She had the best smile and a beautiful soul. People always describe her as a sweet caring woman from family and friends to clerks at the store she frequented. She had a great love for her online slot game, her daily crosswords as well as boggle. Boggle was her favorite, and it drove her nuts when PJ would find a lot of the brain buster words over her shoulder. She loved the mother daughter dinner and movie nights. She was extremely proud of her sons and the men they have grown into. She loved her daughter-in-law Jillian very much as well.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at 11 am in the Funeral Home.

Following cremation Burial will be private.
