Jennifer B. (Spinney) Nelson

Jennifer B. (Spinney) Nelson, 67, of Marlborough, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Marlborough Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Jennifer was born in Waltham, MA, the daughter of the late Josephine A. (LaMorticelli) and John N. Spinney Jr.

After graduating from Marlborough High School, she worked in Cosmetology Sales. She then spent two decades in California working as a Personal Caregiver before returning to Massachusetts. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Briana L. Owen of CA; three sisters, Karen Spinney, Cheryl Spinney, and Rose Spinney, all of Marlborough; two brothers, John Spinney and his wife Erin of Boston, and Michael Spinney of FL; a granddaughter, Avery Owen of CA; an Aunt, Jill Usher of Newton, and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, MA. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.

An hour of visitation will be held prior to her funeral from 10:00-11:00 am at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
