Janet Marie Malits

Janet M. (Kyle) Malits 73 of Shrewsbury and formerly of Marlborough passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026 after a period of declining health.

She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Alice M. (Barrett) Kyle.

She graduated from Marlborough High School, Class of ’70 and went on to work for the New England Telephone Company, now Verizon as an Administrative Assistant, where she worked for 28+ years retiring in 1998.

Janet is survived by her husband of 27 years, George C. Malits of Shrewsbury, her brother John T. kyle and his wife Janet of Marlborough, her nieces Allyson DeSaulniers and her husband Matthew, Kristen Allen and her husband Charles as well as many extended family members and close friends.

Janet loved travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 30, at 11 am also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Beach St., Marlborough.
