Guy Allain was a kind man who was a strong believer in God and living your life to help others as he taught us to do. Guy knew he would be safe in his arms.
He was a loving husband, father, and Grampy. He worked hard all his life as a warehouse worker and member of the Teamsters Local 170 to provide for those he loved and enjoyed his well-deserved retirement
Guy wanted to help in any way he could. He would plow the snow off his neighbors’ sidewalks and driveways, he would give out ice cream to every kid in the neighborhood. He volunteered and passed the collection baskets at St. Anne Church. He never considered it a chore to help anyone; it was just something you did and he never asked for anything in return.
Guy loved his Boston sports teams especially the Bruins and Red Sox even when he was frustrated with the play, coaching, or calls he never gave up on them. He took Peter, Mike, Dora and Mark to games, sitting in the bleachers and high up in The Garden knowing that the seats weren't important, the experiences and time spent together were what mattered. creating lasting memories for all of them.
Guy had a silly easy-going side, seen most often with his grandchildren. a teaser who would zing you with a joke, a wink, and a smile. You could easily forgive him. He welcomed new family members Megan and Danny without hesitation. He would add another seat, scootch over at the dinner table, and just have more birthdays and cake to celebrate.
Guy was a kindhearted hardworking man. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but we are comforted knowing he is safe in God's arms and his family's love.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 4-6pm at the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main Street, Marlborough.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
