Gloria (Carbone) Burns

      Gloria (Carbone) Burns, 84, died Sunday January 28, 2018 after a short period of failing health.  She was the wife of Raymond J. Burns Jr. to whom she was married for 65 years.  She was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late John and Marion (D'Amico) Carbone and lived here all of her life.

      Gloria worked in the cafeteria for the Marlborough school system for many years.  

      She gave countless hours to many local organizations including Our Fathers Table ,the former Saint Ann's Church, and the Immaculate Conception Parish and School, where her kids went.

      Besides her husband she is survived by three sons; Mark Burns of Tolland CT, Raymond Burns of Milan Italy, Glenn Burns of Cape cod, two grandchildren; Brianna and Cameron Burns and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one brother John Carbone and two sisters Jeannette Gaucher and Connie Giancola.

      A funeral mass is planned for Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St. Marlborough MA.
