Frances J (Schiller) Fitzgerald

Frances J. (Schiller) Fitzgerald, 91, of Marlborough died Thursday morning, May 29, 2025, at The Branches Assisted Living Facility after a long-term illness.

She was the younger daughter of the late Joseph Schiller and the late Grace (O'Brien) Schiller.

Frances was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Thomas J. Fitzgerald, III in 2012.

She grew up in Ashburnham, MA, attending high school at Cushing Academy. Afterwards, she attended St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in Worcester, becoming a registered nurse in 1955. She worked briefly in Long Beach, CA, then Fairlawn Hospital in Worcester, MA. She retired from Marlborough Hospital after 33 years.

Frances is survived by her children, Patrick M. Fitzgerald of Franklin, MA, Joseph T. Fitzgerald and his wife Joan of Marlborough, Maureen A. Harrington and her husband Douglas of Stratham, NH and Eileen M. Graham and her husband Sean of Marlborough. Also leaves two granddaughters, Caitlin A. Graham and Erin M. Graham.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 12:30 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St. Marlborough, MA 01752.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.

Visitation will be held prior to her Service from 11-12:30 also in the Funeral Home.
