Elizabeth H. (Sabo) Correia 100 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 in the Reservoir Center, Marlborough, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in West Wyoming, PA, the daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Papp) Szabo.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband James A. Correia in 1977.
She worked as a caretaker in Healthcare at Bolton Street Manor and Madona Hall for many years. She was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was an avid bowler, who won first place in multiple tournaments and was "the lady to beat' in the Weatheretts Woman's League, leading the league with a 168 average.
Elizabeth is survived by her 3 daughters, Janet Bell of Hopedale, Elizabeth Correia of Marlborough, Julia Bullock and her husband Darrell of UT, 2 sons-in-laws, William Jenkins of Worcester and Gordon Greska of Hudson, 23 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends
She was also predeceased by 3 daughters, Mary Ann Greska, Margaret Jenkins, Gail Bissonnette, a son, James Correia and 7 brothers and sisters and a son-in-law Richard Bell
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11am in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Moose Lodge, 67 Fitchburg St, Marlborough MA from 12-4 pm.
