Elizabeth A. (Carrigan) Chaney

Elizabeth A. (Carrigan) Chaney, 90, of Marlborough, Massachusetts passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday June 1, 2023. Elizabeth was born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts, the daughter of Philip A. and Mary E. Carrigan. Elizabeth was wed to Edward J. Chaney and together they enjoyed 50 years of marriage. Elizabeth and Edward moved to Marlborough, Massachusetts in 1961 where they raised six children.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Beth Lopez and son in law, Stephen Lopez of San Diego, California, Lee Ferguson and son in law, Jim Ferguson of West Brookfield, Massachusetts, Kara Goodwin of Marlborough, Massachusetts, Paula Jeansonne and son in law, Jeffrey Jeansonne of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her son Mark Chaney and his partner, Cathy Gerardi of Hudson, Massachusetts.  Her five grandchildren, James and Kelly Ferguson, Ryan and Michael Goodwin and Paige Lopez. Her sister Sr. Juanita Carrigan of St. Catherine, Kentucky, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Edward, daughter Susan, brothers James, Philip, Edward and sister, Margaret Warren.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
