Eleanor M. (Dunbar) Sargent, 94, died Saturday August 18, 2018 after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Donald Sargent who died in 2010. She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Vergene and Fredericka (Hyde) Dunbar and moved to Bolton in 1949 after being raised in Hudson.
Mrs. Sargent was a graduate of Hudson High School class of 1941 and the Chamberlain School in Boston. She was a United States Navy veteran of WWII and was amongst the first to volunteer and serve in the WAVES.
For over thirty years she worked along side her husband, Donald, at his repair shop in Bolton.
Mrs. Sargent loved spending time with her family, particularly at their summer home in Dover Vt.
She is survived by two sons; Jack Sargent and his wife Maryann of Bolton and Falmouth and Richard Sargent of Dover Vt. , three grandchildren; Benjamin Sargent and his wife Rickiann of Lancaster, Christine Botelho of Bolton, Sara Peletier of Worcester, four great grandchildren; Bennet and Jameison Sargent and Maggie and Eden Botelho.
She was predeceased by two brother William and Vergene Dunbar and a sister Dorothy Ford.
At Eleanor’s request all funeral arrangements will be private.
