Diane E. (Metivier) McGuinness, 68, died on Thursday December 2, 2021 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of Cliff McGuinness of Worcester to whom she was married for 40 years. Diane was born in Hudson, the daughter of the late Donald and Pauline (Tremblay) Metivier and lived in Worcester 34 years.
She was the beloved matriarch of her family, who at times played the roles of caregiver, advisor, psychiatrist, and confidant to everyone in her family and anyone who needed her help. Her presence can't be replaced but will be carried on by her loved one's.
Besides her husband she is survived three children; Kristine McGuinness, Steven McGuinness and Daniel McGuinness all of Worcester. four grandchildren; Maliki, Madison, Graden and Alice and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by three siblings; Donna Hurley, Richard and James Metivier
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home (www.shortandrowefuneralhome.com), 95 West Main St. Marlborough. The family requests that family and friends attending visiting hours please dress casually.
