Deborah “Debbie” Ann Goebel 75 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in UMass Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born in Clinton, MA and raised in Ayer & Harvard by her parents, Roland and Margaret (Poitras) Taylor. She worked in Accounting most of her life.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 46 years Robert “Bob” J. Goebel, her son Chris Goebel both of Marlborough, her daughter, Jen Gallop and her husband Carlos of Northborough, her grandson, Jimmy, her granddaughter Gianna, her sister Karen Newman and her husband Greg of Harvard and many friends.
She was predeceased by her nephew, Gary Newman.
Debbie was an outgoing, Multitalented individual, who was skilled in tole painting. She enjoyed reading and music. She had a sharp wit and always found humor in life. She will be sorely missed.
Following cremation, Visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 from 11 am – 1 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA. Her ashes will be scattered privately in the place she selected.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Debbie’s name to The National Kidney Foundation.
