David A. Benway 77 of Marlborough passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Dave was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Alfred L. and Elvira (Ferrecchia) Benway. He graduated from Marlborough High School, Class of ’66.
He served his country in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne during Vietnam which he was awarded the Bronze Star and 3 Purple Hearts.
Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years, Amy (Chung) Benway, his son Jason D. Benway and his wife Maria, his daughter Liz Morich and her husband John all of Marlborough, 4 grandchildren, Jack, Laura, Michael and Matthew, 2 brothers, Kenneth Benway and his wife MariAnn of NC, Ronald Benway and his wife Susan, a sister, Lisa Benway both of Marlborough as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Steven Benway.
Dave enjoyed cooking, golfing and Sunday dinners with his family. He was always sure to welcome friends warmly with home-cooked meals and spirits.
Please join us for a Graveside Service with Military Honors which will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11 am in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough, MA. Following the service, there will be a Celebration of David’s Life, held at the Marlborough Country Club
