Cindy Ann (Moccaldi) Maguire

Cindy Ann (Moccaldi) Maguire 62 of Fitchburg passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Cindy was born in Boston, the daughter of John F. and Rosalie (Hancock) Moccaldi.

Cindy was a 1982 Assabet Valley graduate and obtained her bachelor’s degree from Clark University in 1986. A record setting and passionate athlete, she was inducted into the Assabet Hall of Fame for basketball in 2009 and played college basketball for Becker Junior College as well as Clark University. Cindy loved Hampton Beach, playing cards, holidays with her family, her New England sports teams, and the artist formerly known as Prince.

Cindy is survived by her mother, Rosalie G. Moccaldi of Marlborough, her loving daughter Kelsey and her husband Mark Sheridan of Canada, her son Jonathan and his wife Kylaura Maguire of Oklahoma, her son Ryan Maguire of New Hampshire, her loving siblings John F. Moccaldi Jr. of Leominster, Donna and her husband Marc LeBlanc of Marlborough, and Stephen and his wife Kimberly Moccaldi of Marlborough. Cindy was beloved by her wonderful grandchildren Nolan, Rowan, Svea, Fallon and Sloane, her former husband John E. Maguire, many loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She is predeceased by her father John F. Moccaldi and her sister Linda M. Moccaldi.

Following cremation, Visitation will be on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 4-6 pm in Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, July 11th, at 10:00am in St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St, Marlborough, MA.
