Christina L. Weden

Clearwater FL-Christina Louise Weden passed away peacefully with the comfort of her family on Saturday, June 8, 2024.  Christina was born in Albany, NY on May 30, 1977. She was the daughter of Kenneth and Teresa (Frany) Weden.

Christina was a graduate of Shaker High School, Class of 1995, then attended University of Albany and received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.  At RPI she received a Master’s of Science in Polymer Chemistry.  She worked for GE in Schenectady and Selkirk where she was responsible for many patents in Polymer Chemistry.  Through the years she worked in a supervisory position in quality control in several companies including Watervliet Arsenal.  She also taught Organic Chemistry at the College of St. Rose. After moving to Florida, she worked for the Charles Stark Draper Lab, Inc. in Saint Petersburg, as a Senior Quality Engineer.

A lover of animals, Christina enjoyed visiting zoos in her spare time.  She excelled in art and won awards in high school for her talent. She loved bird watching, gardening, and playing viola.

Christina is survived by her parents and siblings, Annemarie Weden of Phoenixville, PA, Nicole Weden of Boerne, TX, Jason Weden and his wife Edirleia of Westborough, MA, and Jill McPartland and her husband Jerome of N. Brookfield, MA.  She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kayleigh, Cassie and Shayla McPartland and Lucas and Jonathan Weden.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 5-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 10 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough, MA
