Carol Anne (Hogan) Lafleur, 78, of Clinton died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Clinton Hospital.
Carol was born in Marlborough, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Czulak) Hogan.
She graduated from St. Ann’s Academy, Class of 1963. Carol worked at different local banks during her career and retired from Bank of America.
Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years Richard “Dick” J. Lafleur of Clinton, her 2 daughters Amy Armour and her husband Thomas of Marlborough, Keri Caissie and her husband Kevin of Webster, her granddaughter Kaylee, 2 sisters, Mary Lou Quealy and her husband Peadar Schlickman of ME, Kathleen McNeil and her husband Archie of Westborough, her brother James Hogan of NY, 2 sisters-in law Carol Daley of Marlborough, Marilyn Hogan of NY as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother John Hogan and her granddaughter Grace Cassie.
Nothing meant more to Carol than Family, something she instilled in her daughters as well. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother to Kaylee. She loved entertaining and celebrating Holidays and Milestones. She always made everyone who entered her home feel welcome.
She loved going to the Casino, be it Atlantic City, Foxwoods, Twin Rivers or Plainridge, where you could find her on her favorite buffalo slot machine. She loved to travel, summer vacations to Maine, yearly trips to Lake George and Saratoga, weekend getaways, and a once in a lifetime trip to Europe with her youngest daughter Keri in the 90’s.
Carol will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 11 am also in the Funeral Home.
